      Nordson MCS Division, Dayton, OH

      Job Description

      Nordson MCS is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to join our team in Dayton, OH. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your purchasing skills and contribute to the success of a leading manufacturing company.

      Responsibilities:

      • Source and procure materials, components, and equipment in accordance with company requirements and purchasing policies.
      • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
      • Process purchase orders, issue requisitions, and track orders to ensure timely receipt of goods.
      • Maintain accurate records of supplier performance, including lead times, quality, and pricing.
      • Assist with supplier evaluation and selection processes.
      • Resolve supplier issues and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
      • Support inventory management activities by monitoring stock levels and placing replenishment orders as needed.
      • Assist with the implementation of purchasing initiatives and projects.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
      • 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or a related field.
      • Strong understanding of purchasing principles and practices.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Detail-oriented and organized.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
      • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
