      Job Description:

      L3Harris is currently seeking a mechanical engineer with a background and experience in antenna design and development. The qualified candidate will have exciting, challenging, and rewarding opportunities to support existing and develop next generation military communications applications. This important work contributes to the safety and effectiveness of US and allied nations’ warfighters.

      Essential Functions:

      • An engineer in this position will assist in leading projects, developing and managing schedules and participating in the entire project development lifecycle.
      • The mechanical engineers working in this field often work on a variety of cutting-edge projects over their careers, as we design antenna systems for the ground, air, shipboard, and space-based communication systems.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

      Preferred Additional Skills:

      • The ideal candidate will have experience with a 3-D modeling tool such as NX and mechanical simulation tools such as Ansys.
      • Experience with precision mechanism design and motion control is a plus.
      • Must be proficiencent with MS Word, Excel and Project software.
      • Must have strong problem solving and organizational skills.
      • BSME and four years of experience or MSME and 2 years of experience
      • Ability to obtain and retain a security clearance is required for this job posting
      • The individual must be able to work from oral and written instructions, be dependable, positive, assertive, a team player and have a strong desire to succeed.
      • Must have great communications skills to expeditiously coordinate efforts through all phases of the manufacturing and engineering process while contributing in a high performance team environment to meet customer needs.
      • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends when required.
