Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Neurological Occupational Therapist to join the City and Hackney Adult Community Rehabilitation Team. This post will give you the opportunity to develop your core and specialist skills and knowledge base in the field of community neurological rehabilitation.
The Adult Community Rehab Team is a forward-thinking service that provides inter-disciplinary rehabilitation to adults living in the clinically, economically and culturally diverse borough of Hackney and the City of London. The team is split into two specialist branches (neurological conditions and physical conditions) and consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Clinical & Neuropsychology, Dietitians and Rehabilitation Assistants. The team is supported by a Consultant Allied Health Professional, Consultant Neuropsychologist and a Consultant Neurologist.
The team actively encourages CPD and our staff are fully involved in service development projects. In return for your experience, motivation and enthusiasm, we offer a vibrant and dynamic team, regular support and supervision and flexible working.
This post is located in the community, office base in Hoxton but you will work across various sites as dictated by the needs of the service and clients. Main duties of the job
The neurological conditions team provides assessment and intervention for clients with both progressive (Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson's Disease, Neuro Oncology) and non-progressive (ABI and SCI) neurological diagnoses.
