- Current HCPC professional registration
- Degree / diploma on Physiotherapy or Occupational therapy
- Post Graduate Diploma in relevant specialist area or Professional qualification to Degree level supplemented by specialist accredited training and experience in specialist field(s) equivalent to post graduate diploma level.
- Full understanding of relevant policy, legislation and guidance relevant to clinical and service area
- Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified clinical area.
- Specialist understanding of relevant clinical practice, standards and protocols within identified clinical area.
- Evidence of undertaking audits/surveys
- Basic IT skills
- Member of specialist interest group/network, locally or regionally

Job summary

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Specialist Occupational Therapist to work in our Community Rehabilitation team. We assess and treat patients who live in Hull and the East Riding, and therefore the ability to travel across the area is integral to the role, as we see our patients in their own homes.
The team is made up of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Associate Practitioners. We work with people who have either physical or neurological conditions , and the role is very varied, including carrying out holistic assessments in people's own homes, agreeing goals and providing personalised rehab plans, recommending adaptive equipment, practicing functional activities and collaborating with external agencies in order to support people to live safely and meaningfully at home.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a qualified OT who has: HCPC registration Community Rehab experience at Band 5 or Band 6 level Excellent communication skills and strong clinical reasoning skills, Confidence in working independently in the community setting A pro-active and person centered approach to care.
