Job Description

Work collaboratively with a cross divisional team to gather and document policy and regulatory requirements in a way that can be used to build technology products.
Support high product quality by working with the team to communicate requirements, develop and execute system test cases, and work to resolve issues that emerge.
Anticipate and seek to overcome obstacles that could impact project schedules and product outcomes.
Develop training and reference material for internal and external audiences about the product and function as a subject matter expert during development and system training sessions.
Be a change agent for new technology solutions by sharing information, soliciting feedback throughout the development process, and increasing awareness among peers.
Act as a key liaison with industry during development and post release.
Support changes to associated regulatory instruments (directives and manuals) to ensure consistency between regulatory instruments and technology solutions. Work within existing processes to get regulatory instruments updated, approved, and published.
Applied knowledge and experience with the OneStop system and/or other regulatory process systems would be considered an asset.
Technical degree or diploma in Science, Engineering, Resource Management, Business or related fields along with 5-7 years of related industry or regulatory experience.
Able to act independently in an environment of high complexity, significance and/or uncertainty that contains divergent views and limited precedent.
Broad understanding of the AER’s mandate, and it’s priorities
Good understanding of software and technology solution delivery.
Understanding of Agile methodology is considered can asset.
A willingness to collaborate and a belief in the importance of building strong relationships, fostering a positive organizational culture, and a readiness to collectively find ways to solve problems to ensure that the enterprise is successful.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prosci Certification would be considered an asset.

Location: Any AER office location in Alberta
Employment Type: Full Time – Permanent
Salary Range: SP3, Level 5, $88,792 - $110,990 per year. The final compensation for this position will be determined based on individual factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. This position may be eligible to receive a Northern Living allowance. Northern Living allowances are provided based on the location of the position and where an employee primarily works and resides.

The Digital Transformation & Business Delivery team is recruiting for a specialist who can support the development of new and enhanced regulatory technology capabilities. As a Product Delivery Specialist, you will work collaboratively with a wide range of professionals to deliver new innovative technology products that satisfy policy and regulatory requirements and are designed with users in mind. This requires strong analytical skills, the ability to balance competing priorities, a desire to learn, and a clear vision for what is possible.
