      Amplify is seeking an experienced educator with expertise in designing and delivering math professional development sessions for audiences at various education levels, including elementary, middle school, and/or high school. The Math Professional Development Design Specialist will collaborate with the Math Professional Development Design team, contributing to the creation of professional development materials. Responsibilities include providing constructive feedback to team members involved in session material development, conducting professional development sessions for educators as required, and aiding in the facilitator training process. The overarching objective is to bolster high-quality math instruction in classrooms by designing immersive and challenging professional learning experiences and ensuring the facilitator team is well-prepared to deliver them.

      Responsibilities of the Specialist of Professional Development Design, Math:

      • Develop and design comprehensive session materials (slide decks, Desmos Activities, Speaker Notes, Participant Notebooks, handouts, etc.) for both in-person and remote professional development sessions aimed at assisting teachers and leaders in achieving effective program implementation of Amplify's Math products.

      • Provide training and support to math facilitators

      • Assist the PD team by continually updating resources, maintaining team documentation, and staying current with platform updates.

      • Create resources in adherence to Amplify’s branding guidelines

      • Conduct copyediting of session resources, including slides, slide notes, and participant materials.

      • Other tasks as assigned by manager

      Basic Qualifications of the Specialist, Professional Development Design, Math :

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field, or equivalent experience.

      • Previous experience teaching and/or facilitating Amplify Math and/or Desmos Math professional development sessions.

      • Background in instructional and graphic design.

      • Proven expertise in current math best practices, Common Core math standards, and adult learning principles.

      • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

      • Proficient use of technology-based productivity tools, including Microsoft Office, Google Applications, and video conferencing tools.

      • Proficiency in building instructional materials using Desmos Activity Builder.

      Preferred Qualifications of the Specialist, Professional Development Design, Math :

      • Master’s or Advanced Degree in Education

      • Over 2 years of experience teaching and/or coaching Amplify Math or Desmos Math

      • Experience in designing in-person or remote professional development sessions for teachers and/or leaders

      • Empathy and understanding for the roles of teachers and leaders.

      • Experience working with diverse student populations, including English learners, SPED, Gifted/Talented, etc.

      • Proficiency in WordPress and Adobe

      • Demonstrated experience in client/partnership management

      Compensation:

      The hourly rate for this role is $40.00
