Employer is seeking a Specialist, Quality Interventions/ QI Compliance to join our team. As part of our Quality Improvement function, you will have the opportunity to contribute to healthcare quality improvement initiatives and education programs. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the maintenance of programs for our members in accordance with quality standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for data collection, reporting, and monitoring for key performance measurements. Responsibilities include:
Quality Interventions:
- Implementing key quality strategies, including provider, member, and community interventions.
- Preparing for Quality Improvement Compliance surveys.
- Conducting federal and state required quality activities.
- Monitoring and ensuring timely completion of key quality activities.
- Writing narrative reports to interpret regulatory specifications and document findings.
Quality Improvement Compliance:
- Creating, managing, and compiling required documentation for critical quality improvement functions.
- Leading quality improvement activities, meetings, and discussions with other departments.
- Evaluating project/program activities and results for improvement opportunities.
- Identifying gaps in processes that require remediation and reporting to Manager and Director.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Travel may be required, up to 50% for same day out of office travel and up to 20% for multiple day out of town overnight travel.
Job Qualifications:
Required Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare.
- 1 year of experience in health plan quality improvement or managed care.
- Demonstrated solid business writing experience.
- Operational knowledge and experience with Excel and Visio.
Preferred Education:
- Preferred field: Clinical Quality, Public Health, or Healthcare.
Preferred Experience:
- 1 year of experience in Medicare and Medicaid.
Preferred License, Certification, Association:
- Certified Professional in Health Quality (CPHQ).
- Nursing License (RN may be preferred for specific roles).
- Certified HEDIS Compliance Auditor (CHCA).
Pay Range: $21.82 - $42.55 (Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.)
