What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Facilitate the investigation and reporting of safety incidents, coordinating information for claims
- Conduct regular visits to operational locations to observe conditions and identify safety improvements
- Establish and maintain effective communication with all operational levels, providing counsel on safety issues
- Implement and ensure adherence to the Safety Management System
- Serve as a resource for management and employees regarding infectious disease exposure and health services
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in safety and risk management
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Occupational Safety and Health, or Industrial Safety preferred
- Proficient in personal computers and associated software (word-processing, spreadsheets, databases)
- Ability to write reports, analyze information, and interpret regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with groups
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in emergency medical services or related health fields
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety management systems
- Strong analytical skills and experience with risk assessment
- Previous experience in employee health services or occupational safety
- Knowledge of information systems security policies and procedures
