What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Facilitate the investigation and reporting of all safety incidents to the Manager of Safety, Health, and Risk Management
- Conduct regular visits to operational locations and perform ride-alongs to assess safety conditions
- Maintain effective communication and relationships across all levels of the organization regarding safety and risk management
- Implement the Safety Management System effectively within the organization
- Serve as a resource for management and employees regarding exposure to infectious diseases
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in safety and risk management
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Proficient in using personal computers, including word-processing, spreadsheet, and database software
- Strong analytical skills to read and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and governmental regulations
- Driving record that complies with employer guidelines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Occupational Safety and Health, or Industrial Safety
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees
- Strong problem-solving skills in situations with limited standardization
- Experience in employee health services regarding immunizations and testing
