What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate the investigation and reporting of safety incidents, ensuring necessary information is collected for claims
- Conduct regular visits to operational locations to assess safety conditions and identify improvement needs
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships while providing guidance on safety and risk management
- Implement the Safety Management System effectively across the organization
- Serve as a resource for management and employees regarding exposures to infectious diseases
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in safety and risk management
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Occupational Safety and Health, or Industrial Safety preferred
- Proficiency in using personal computers and associated software for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
- Strong report writing and business correspondence skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and governmental regulations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in the health and safety field, particularly within emergency medical services
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety management systems
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle concrete variables in non-standardized situations
- Effective presentation skills for communicating with groups of managers and employees
