- Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications, either from a pre-medical degree or prior clinical experience [required]

- This position involves assisting providers throughout the patient care journey, which includes participating in daily huddles to plan for patient visits, observing and documenting patient encounters in real-time during exams, and following up post-visit to assist with next steps
- The role is designed to enhance the efficiency of clinical documentation, ensuring that it is accurate, specific, and timely
- Scribes, referred to internally as Clinic Informatics Specialists (CISs), are integral to the care team, helping to close care gaps and improve patient outcomes through their expertise in value-based care and chronic condition management, including familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding
- In addition to real-time documentation, Medical Scribes receive extensive on-the-job training in clinical workflows, value-based medicine, and preventative care for chronic conditions
- This training equips them to support providers effectively and to contribute to the overall improvement of clinical documentation practices
- The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is committed to at least 1-2 years in the position, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals on a pre-med track or those pursuing careers in Health Informatics, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Medical Coding, and related fields

About the position

The typical pay range for this role is:
$17.00 - $28.46This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
