- Provide day-to-day clinical management for a broad range of acute and elective ENT patients.
- Participate in minor surgery, fast-track clinics, and the out-of-hours on-call rota.
- Engage fully with departmental audit, clinical governance, and quality improvement activities.
- Support the training, supervision, and development of junior medical staff.
- Undertake appropriate administrative duties related to clinical practice.
- Actively contribute to teaching, service development, and continuous professional development programmes.
- Maintain up-to-date compliance with mandatory training and GMC revalidation requirements.
- A minimum of 3years postgraduate medical training (or equivalent), with at least 2years' experience in ENT.
- Clinical competencies equivalent to ST3-ST5 level.
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a current License to Practice.
- Strong clinical, communication and teamwork skills.

- Relevant higher degree
- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical experience and competence in all aspects of the ENT specialty
- Also should have significant minor ENT procedures experience and any other post graduate qualifications that can advance the department needs would be preferable
- Understanding current issues within the wider NHS
- Shows ability to work with and lead others across professions
- Experience of and enthusiasm for clinical teaching of postgraduate doctors and non-medical staff.
- Academic achievements/evidence of familiarity with research methods which have resulted in publications
- Training in clinical and educational supervision
- Attendance at a teaching course

- Knowledge of Audit principles and evidence of participation in and completion of audit projects
- Evidence of knowledge of research methodology
- Good communication and empathy skills with patients

Main duties of the job
You will be an integral part of the Consultant led multi-disciplinary ENT team, working collaboratively to deliver high-quality, responsive care across both emergency and planned services.
Key Responsibilities:
Experience or interest in Rhinology or Paediatric ENT Surgery would be an advantage, although applications from candidates with a general ENT focus are warmly welcomed.
