      Job summary

      This is a 12-month fixed term post but there is a possibility of extension beyond this period depending on performance and service need. This is an excellent opportunity to work within the NHS to gain further psychiatric skills and to promote patient centred care in line with our Trust values. The post holder will be expected to work3 days per week, from 9am-5pm. The post holder will be provided protected time for CPD/supporting professional activities and opportunities for quality improvement work. The Trust provides a weekly academic programme on Wednesday afternoon hybrid. The salary will be based on your level of experience.

      Main duties of the job

      This is fixed term post which has become available due to service gaps. An induction will be provided to your placement explaining roles and responsibilities as well as your workplace. A Trust induction will also be provided after starting in your allocated post.The successful applicant(s) will work within their allocated post. The post will offer the opportunity to perform clinical assessments of individuals with mental health conditions, including mental state examination, history taking, physical health examination and attendance of meetings with the multidisciplinary team.The post holder will gain experience with the full spectrum of psychiatric morbidity. This post is based in a multidisciplinary setting and the post holder will work closely with all the members of the team (SAS doctor, nurses, health care assistances, psychologists, social workers & graduate mental health workers). The care delivered is recovery-focused, placing emphasis on individuals' strengths and goals for the future.

      In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work.
