      Summary:

      Seeking a highly motivated individual with strong analytical, and communication skills to join the Specialty Finance & Fintech Investment Team. We are looking to hire an innovative Investment Team member to be directly involved in the evaluation of investments in Specialty Finance & Fintech. As this role will have a strong influence in portfolio decisions and direct interaction with the senior leaders of the group, a successful candidate will need to have an entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to think creatively. This role will provide you with visibility and access to the forefront of the venture capital and technology communities. You will be part of a growing team and be able to work on cutting edge projects with the backing and resources of one of the top global asset management firms in the world with over $405 billion in AUM. The work you do will have a tremendous impact on the group’s approach to success. This role has great exposure, working with the Investment Team, Marketing Teams, and Data Science Teams.

      Responsibilities:

      • Supporting due diligence of loan originators – usually new, private fin-tech companies

      • Running cash flow models to project loss and pre-payment for consumer and small business loans and various investment structures – portfolio of whole loans and credit facilities

      • Interacting with investors and communicating funds’ strategies and performance; Building out investor presentations in PowerPoint

      • Additional: Pricing and modeling securitizations either in Intex or in-house models built in Python/Excel

      Qualifications:

      • 2 to 5 years of experience in Buy-side Specialty Finance or Structured Credit or Investment Banking/ABS

      • Quantitatively oriented with a degree in mathematics, statistics, econometrics, computer science, or other quantitative disciplines

      • Excellent communication and overall EQ Skills

      Compensation Details

      The salary range for this role is $125,000-$160,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City and California. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
