Doctorate in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 10+ years of pharmacy industry experience with proven ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
Previous success within clinical teams in managed care pharmacy, pharmacy consulting, or pharmacy benefit manager environments
Previous demonstrated experience in Specialty Pharmacy, business development, account management, public speaking, and providing overall clinical support to both clinical and non-clinical teams.
Previous experience with pharmacy benefits, pharmacotherapy medical drugs, formulary management, pharmacy networks, and pharmacy contracting process
Previous technical work experience with Microsoft Office Suites, Data Visualization Software, Data Analytics Reporting, and Pharmacy Adjudication Platforms
Experience and demonstrated success in a team selling environment for Employer Groups, Health Plans, Pharmacy Consultants, and/or State/Local Governments
Understanding of Health Systems, pharmacy benefit design, managed care pharmacy, pharmacy adjudication process, formulary design, utilization edits, clinical compendia for decision support, FDA approval process, medical and pharmacy rebates, pharmaceutical market access strategies
Demonstrated success in public speaking specifically on clinical, industry, and thought leadership topics with regards to Specialty Pharmacy
Experience with PBM clinical programs, Specialty programs/carve-out benefits, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), Case Management programs, and academic detailing to providers
Desire to evaluate, prioritize, develop, and lead innovations that require managing both short and long term initiatives to optimize RxSS procedures and future offerings
Desire to work directly with data files, pharmacy claim utilization, and data visualization software to research, investigate, and develop sound business strategies
Ability to assess and interpret data to identify pharmacy trends and irregularities for resolution and troubleshooting capabilities
Valid Pharmacist license
Certified Specialty Pharmacist (CSP) or willingness to obtain in the future
Compile, translate and communicate clinical and industry expertise related to Specialty pharmacy to the Sales (Employer, Health Plan, Consultant/Broker, State/Local Government) and Marketing teams on day-to-day basis, and provide guidance on specialty drug industry challenges and market needs
Develop and lead RxSS platform for health system sales – 340b, EHR capabilities, etc.
Support components of pre-sell prospecting, analytics, marketing, quality control, and development of new features.
Pharmacy Department and Clinical Strategy support via specialty clinical suggestion engine curation, drug product & portal maintenance, and P&T Committee membership
Public speaking on behalf of RxSS and support other departments as clinical and industry expert
Perform other duties as reasonably requested by department leadership

This Specialty Pharmacist – Sales role serves as the Specialty Pharmacy industry expert on the clinical strategy team that is responsible for RxSS’s clinical suggestion engine and business development support. This individual will interface with prospects, clients, sales teams, marketing teams, client success teams, and engineering teams by providing clinical guidance & expertise related to specialty pharmacy and health systems ecosphere. The Specialty Pharmacist - Sales role will also provide guidance and support to all other departments such as product, operations, finance, and legal as needed. Skills the role must leverage are specialty clinical expertise, strategic thinking, quantitative analysis, knowledge of market segments, competitive landscape, and a clear understanding of key business objectives. This role will require up to 20% travel. We would prefer a local candidate in the Kansas City area with the ability to work in office/hybrid, but may consider a well-qualified fully remote individual.Education:

Our Base Pay Range for this position
