      Responsibilities:

      • Ensures that specification targets are met by consistently performing all aspects of the following key performance areas:
        • Calling on existing customers
        • Calling on new customers
        • Asking for briefs
        • Preparing specifications
        • Capturing specifications and preparing world class specification presentations
        • Participating in internal and external training presentations on ASSA ABLOY products
      • Be able to adhere to ASSA ABLOY’s code of conduct
      • Regularly call on all assigned architects and quantity surveyors with a view to developing relationships with them, ensuring their support of ASSA ABLOY products
      • Canvas the industry for new architects and quantity surveyors
      • Prepare Ironmongery specifications, including schedules and bills of quantity
      • Set up and assist with CPD training sessions in your region
      • Set up and assist with product training sessions at architectural practices, QS practices and building contractors
      • Perform site visits after the specified ironmongery has been installed, to:
        • Check for correct product installation
        • Solve any site issues pertaining to the supplied ASSA ABLOY door hardware and ensure the specification has been adhered to
      • Prepares monthly KPA reports
      • Prepares monthly specification reports.

      Qualifications & Experience:

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Tertiary educated in Sales & Marketing and or related architectural courses
      • Computer literate (Excel, Power Point, Word)

      Experience

      • Sales experience in the architectural and or construction market
      • Technical experience will be an advantage

      Competencies:

      • Understands and interpret Architectural drawings
      • Be able to interact and communicate with Architects, QSs and Building contractors on a high technical level
      • Compilation of specifications, including all required Bills and related documentation
      • Knowledge of ASSA ABLOY product, i.r.o both the range and technicality, as well as knowledge of related ironmongery products as supplied by outside companies on our specifications
      • Knowledge of competitor product offerings
      • Self-starter and self-motivated with good interpersonal skills
      • Willing to both teach and be taught in the department
      • A team player with passion for achievement of set targets
      • Quality conscious in all aspects of performance
      • Able to use own initiative in problem solving
      • Ensures meeting of specification deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
      • Exceptional time management skills
