      JOB SUMMARY

      *THIS IS A PEDIATRIC OUTPATIENT POSITION*

      The staff speech language pathologist is responsible for directing, modifying and administering speech assessment and treatment according to patient need as supervised by the Director of Rehabilitation Services. Assist patient to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.

      General Responsibilities:

      Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical, and employment status of Bradley Medical Center’s patients, families and employees.
      Must follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients.
      Must report hazards and initiate appropriate action.
      Must participate in safety instructional programs.
      Must attend annual employment education.

      Qualifications


      JOB QUALIFICATIONS

      Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology as evidenced by verification of state licensure.
      Experience: Previous experience in all aspects of Speech Therapy preferred.
      Licenses/Certificates: Current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Tennessee. Clinical fellows (CFs) may apply but must work immediately toward licensure and complete within the earliest possible timeframe according to ASHA guidelines. Current CPR certification.
