Job Description

- Design, implement, and support Splunk solutions to address business problems and requirements across various industry verticals
- Coordinate and own the Splunk environment, including indexers, forwarders, search heads, and other components
- Build and maintain Splunk apps, dashboards, reports, alerts, and data visualizations based on user requirements
- Implement data onboarding, field extractions, and search optimization for new and existing data sources
- Supervise and take on the Splunk infrastructure, addressing performance issues, log feed problems, and capacity planning
- Configure role-based access controls and security measures to restrict access to sensitive data and logs
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to understand their outstanding use cases and provide Splunk solutions
- Assist users in designing and maintaining production-quality dashboards and reports
- Provide documentation and knowledge transfer for Splunk operations and maintenance
- Stay up to date with the latest Splunk features, standard methodologies, and industry trends
- At least 8 to 11 years of experience.
- Required skills: Splunk
- Proficiency in crafting alerts, reports, and dashboards using Splunks search Processing Language
- Knowledge of setting up alert thresholds, notifications, and monitoring alerts
- Proficiency in field extractions using regular expressions and configuring data inputs
- Ability to work with Splunk forwarders UF, HFf or data collection and forwarding
- An expert in cleaning data quality issues and ensuring data integrity
- In-depth understanding of props.conf and transforms.conf for data preprocessing
- Familiarity with Splunk Configuration files Server.conf, Serverclass.conf, transforms.conf, inputs.conf, and props.conf for tuning and maintenance
- Dynatrace knowledge is added advantage

The annual salary for this position is between $52,000 - $136,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
