- Manage and oversee credit aspects of a broad portfolio of sponsor-owned portfolio companies across multiple industries
- Detailed credit, financial statement analysis, industry analysis and projection modeling to ensure accurate and timely and accurate monitoring, accurate risk ratings, covenant compliance, watchlist updates, recognition of potential problems loans of leveraged credit portfolio
- Partner with Leverage Underwriting and Financial Sponsors Group to execute on final credit memos and loan documentation
- Provide high touch portfolio monitoring, trending & analytics and aggregate reporting. Provide and present portfolio updates as needed to senior leadership, risk management and coverage partners.
- Lead coordination and execution of loan booking, closing, legal documentation and compliance requirements
- Partner with Financial Sponsors Group, Corporate Banking Relationship Management and Industry Bankers to support client coverage needs related to credit products. Lead credit analysis support and execution to grow relationships through products such as rates/fx/operating exposure for cash management. Engage with clients as needed.
- Assist with credit process for refinances and amendments, as needed, in partnership with Sponsor Coverage and Leveraged Underwriting
- On-going coordination and partnership with Sponsor Independent Risk Management related to borrower and/or portfolio needs
- Assist with coordination and preparation for borrower/portfolio reviews and responses for internal and external exams
- Train and mentor team of VP, Associates and Analysts
- Responsible for adherence to all Wells Fargo credit policies and procedures. Review and interpret credit policies and procedures and incorporate requirements into credit analysis, observations and lending recommendations
- 7+ years of Experience in CIB Portfolio Management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- CIB Portfolio Management experience, experience with leveraged lending, experience with Sponsor Portfolio management
- Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
Ability to navigate within a large and complex organization

About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead CIB Portfolio Manager to join a newly established Sponsor Portfolio Management team formed to support Wells Fargo’s growing Financial Sponsor business. Team will partner with Financial Sponsors Group, Leverage Underwriting, Industry Coverage and Risk Management to oversee execution of credit related functions and portfolio oversight comprised of portfolio company exposures across Technology, Media and Telecom, Industrials, Healthcare, and Consumer and Retail.
