Overview
Academic Programs connects undergraduate institutions, faculty, and students across the country to the work of the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) and the broader public policy world.
The Academic Programs intern is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of program events at AEI and on college campuses, compiling internal surveys, assisting in production of The Campus Exchange podcast, and aiding the team in preparation for the 2024 Summer Honors Program. Other responsibilities might include researching college campuses, managing databases, and providing logistical support for events hosted in Washington, DC, and online.
Strong candidates will demonstrate familiarity with and an appreciation for AEI, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and an interest in today’s pressing public policy issues. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, report writing, social media, and database management is preferred, but not necessary.
AEI’s spring 2024 internship program will have two start dates: January 9 and 16, 2024. While the AEI internship program and all related programming will take place in person in Washington, DC, this spring, virtual interns may be accepted on a case-by-case basis. About AEI Internships
AEI internships offer a unique opportunity for undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates to gain experience in research, writing, business, and communications at one of the nation’s leading think tanks. Competitive candidates will generally have a 3.4 GPA or higher from a top-ranking college or university. The AEI internship program runs 12 weeks.
