      Primary Job Responsibilities:

      • Assigned to each project where supplier quality surveillance activities are required. The Project Supplier Quality Surveillance Coordinator is responsible for implementation of this procedure and the requirements specified herein and any special project or Client requirements.
      • Attending weekly project meetings.
      • Preparation of Weekly Project Status Reports.
      • Completion of Project Document Distribution Matrix.
      • Review of inquiries, purchase orders, requisitions and subcontracts for conformance to supplier quality surveillance requirements detailed in the project’s Supplier Quality Surveillance Plan.
      • Assignment of the proper supplier quality surveillance levels per equipment tag number or by purchase order/subcontract as determined by criticality rating.
      • Preparation of Supplier Quality Surveillance and Test Plans for inquiry packages, Assignment Instructions and Supplier Quality Surveillance folders for each order that includes approve, review, audit, surveillance, observe, or witness, points, along with requirements for Client participation.
      • Issue the Assignment Instructions to the qualified Supplier Quality Surveillance Inspector and make project distribution as required.
      • Follow up with Supplier Quality Surveillance Inspectors; monitor their daily activities to assure that surveillance activities are performed as assigned. When third party Supplier Quality Surveillance Inspectors are to be considered for assignments, secure their resume and conduct a preliminary interview to confirm qualifications. The type of interview, telephone or in-person, will be determined based on the criticality of the assignment. Use of third party Supplier Quality Surveillance Inspectors requires final approval of the Manager of Supplier Quality Surveillance or the Chief Supplier Quality Surveillance Inspector and the Project, Refer to Inspection Bulletin number IB-09-13 for third party agency vetting process.
      • Determine if a Pre-Inspection Meeting is necessary
      • On critical orders, attend pre-inspection meetings and support the assigned Supplier Quality Surveillance Inspector, who will chair the meeting.
      • Review and approval of Vendor/Supplier Inspection and Test Plans.
      • Assisting the Supplier Quality Surveillance Inspector in obtaining clarifications and interpretations to quality standards, industry codes, and Engineering and Client specifications.
      • Review and approval of Inspection & Status Reports prior to issue.
      • Maintains and updates as needed a project specific NCR log.
      • Maintains and updates the Project Inspection Assignment Log (PIAL).
      • Responsible for assuring project close out has been performed correctly at the close of each project they are assigned to.
      • Review and approve sub-contractor/third party agency inspectors’ time sheets and expense reports for activities performed by the supplier quality surveillance resource provided by these agencies and/or sub-contractors.
