Job Details:
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing accounting and clerical support to Accounting department personnel. This includes processing accounts payable, maintaining accounting document files, team member engagement, and other duties as assigned. It also serves as a backup for the Plant Accountant and Administrative Assistant.
Other duties and responsibilities include: performing assigned accounting and related clerical support functions; effectively researching, tracking, and resolving accounts payable or documentation problems and discrepancies; work with both internal customers and external suppliers to answer questions and provide assistance in a timely manner; ensure that proper channels of communication exist between the facilities and corporate, and that situations that cannot be fully handled at this level be promptly communicated to the appropriate person.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 5+ years' office experience related to accounting; payroll experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Intermediate skills in spreadsheets and word processing to include Microsoft Office and other Web-based programs. Experience with Kronos Pro and SAP is a plus.
Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: Knowledge of the SAP Accounting system. Variable tasks requiring judgment to set priorities, evaluate results, and coordinate with others.
Supervisory: None
Hours: 6:15am to 2:45pm, with possible overtime. This role requires flexibility and the ability to work in a cold environment when necessary.
