Excelerate is a provider-led, physician-engaged change management model jointly owned by Cleveland Clinic, OhioHealth, and Vizient. This team is charged with delivering best-in-class strategies and expertise that allows its members to capitalize on recurring physician/clinical variation and cost reduction opportunities.

Summary:

In this role, you will perform duties including analyzing spend data to identify contract opportunities during the sales cycle and during the implementation phase. You will present recommendations to management and external stakeholders, and provide guidance in selecting alternatives with impact to the bottom line.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct complex financial analysis such as pricing, rebates, administrative fees, and distribution to identify untapped savings opportunities and competitive strengths.
• Serve as key resource to impact provider gains and losses.
• Interpret statistical analysis based on market and product knowledge.
• Leverage acquired knowledge and GPO experience to analyze the non-pharmacy portfolio, focusing on medical-surgical and PPI categories.
• Maintain contract knowledge including Excelerate, Vizient, and competitors to provide meaningful and accurate financial assessment.
• Interact with Cleveland Clinic recruitment and implementation team and the Excelerate sourcing team.
• Communicate persuasively and effectively to a wide range of internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 5 or more years of relevant experience in healthcare supply cost management required.
• Broad and diverse knowledge of healthcare products and services required.
• Competencies in project management, business acumen, technical skills and professional communication skills required.
• Proven written and verbal organizational skills.
• Action-oriented self-starter, good problem-solving skills, and independent thinking skills.
• Must demonstrate teamwork and collaboration with customer service orientation.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel and MS Access knowledge required. MS SQL query writing, and VBA experience preferred.
