      Job Description:

      The Information Technology function provides the means, methods and solutions needed to support the efficient collection, storage, transfer, manipulation, analysis and reporting of data as well as the need to deliver information for use by decision makers. The Data Management area is responsible for establishing database management systems, standards, guidelines and quality assurance for deliverables, such as conceptual design, logical database, taxonomy, data storage and capacity planning, external data interface specification, data loading plan, data maintenance plan and security policy. The Data Engineer focus specializes in the conceptual design, capacity planning, interface specifications, data loading plan, maintenance and security associated with data collection/organization. Assists with user interface and business applications design; works with stakeholders to ensure database specifications, tables and element attributes meet requirements. This job family is in the management level category and is below the executive management. Incumbents in this job family are typically responsible for directing and guiding the work of teams and/or individuals. Typically, incumbents would be responsible for performance reviews, pay reviews, and may have hire/fire decision making authority. In limited instances, incumbents in this management job level category may also be responsible for a functional area and not have people reporting to them. There are different levels available that provide clarity on contribution expectations based on knowledge, application, problem solving, impact, collaboration, and supervision.
