Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the pharmacy Quality Management System (QMS) and oversight of related activities.
Provides support for external audits by clients and regulatory bodies.
Executes the Quality Management System (QMS) with a proactive, action-oriented focus to exceed customer expectations, as well as industry and regulatory quality standards.
Supports the organization culture through involvement of continuous process improvement.
Works to identify risk and opportunities for change.
Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures in support of the Quality Management System and ensures that day to day operations are conducted in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
Identifies, executes, and collaborates to drive improvement through Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA), including documentation of all objective evidence, actions, and effectiveness checks.
Analyzes, trends, and documents errors and complaints
Works cross-functionally and maintains relationships across business units
Supports initiatives related to accreditation compliance (URAC and ACHC)
5+ years of related experience with a 2-year Associate Degree or 3+ years of related experience with a 4-year Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Healthcare or pharmacy experience, preferred
Strong problem solver with the ability to present issues clearly and provide answers
Highly motivated and committed to excellence with a positive attitude
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point applications

Purpose
The Quality Engineer has many responsibilities within the Specialty Pharmacy Services Group. The Quality Engineer will participate in the various activities that evaluate and document the company’s quality improvement initiatives. This position will uphold the culture of quality by fostering an environment of positive communication and continuous learning.
The Quality Engineer will have accountability for engaging and applying enterprise quality standards and conformance to ensure consistent and expected service level outcomes. In addition, the Quality Engineer will proactively identify potential quality opportunities through auditing of operational procedures, key performance metrics, and transactions so that operational processes are being executed in accordance with defined processes, policies and procedures, regulations and service level standards.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position
