What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage accounts of medium and advanced complexity, including defaulted multifamily commercial real estate loans
- Facilitate the resolution of problem loans through interactions with multifamily borrowers and implementing loan modifications
- Collect and analyze financial information to ensure loans are managed properly and timely
- Perform credit analysis and recommend solutions for loan restructures
- Mentor and coach junior workout professionals, enhancing team performance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent field
- 9+ years of workout and/or portfolio management experience
- Advanced knowledge of commercial loan workout best practices and multifamily lending
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent field
- Knowledge of New York City multifamily loans, particularly in rent-controlled and stabilized buildings
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally as a team player
- Experience interfacing with senior management
