- Plan, perform and implement process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma).
- Diagram and evaluate existing processes.
- Organize, lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams.
- Develop metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
- Collect data to identify root cause of problems.
- Measure performance against process requirements.
- Align improvement to performance shortfalls.
- Provide consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality.
- May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.
- Survey and analyze best practices for techniques and processes.
- Communicate team progress.
- Perform cost and benefit analyses.
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of business process analysis / project management experience, or advanced degree with 2 years of business process analysis / project management experience.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
- Medical Device experience.
- Planning and/or project management skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills that result in conclusive recommendations.
- Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient with Excel, Word and database applications.
- Ability to manage conflict.
- Ability to multi-task and deliver high-quality results.
- Exposure to a manufacturing environment.
- Analytical Thinking.
- DMAIC Problem solving.
- Facilitating Kaizen events.

Medtronic’s campus in Irvine, CA is looking for a Sr Business Process Improvement Analyst. This role will be responsible to develop, advocate and enable the tools and methodologies to drive Medtronic process excellence throughout the ~220,000 sq ft Neurovascular manufacturing facility. These tools may include, but are not limited to, Lean, Six Sigma, Project Management and other Improvement techniques. Leads and mentors Lean Sigma teams/ projects across Medtronic. Plans, supports, and provides training to others in the Lean Sigma methodology.
As part of Medtronic's Neuroscience Portfolio, Medtronic Neurovascular develops and markets medical technology, services and solutions to treat patients afflicted with Acute Ischemic and Hemorrhagic Stroke worldwide.
To drive the synergies across the 3 sites that exist in Orange County under Vascular Therapies Implants and Drug and Chemistry Technologies, we are introducing the OC Campus Strategy, which will include the harmonization of all Orange County manufacturing campuses including:

• Irvine – Stroke/Aneurysm and Embolization
