      Job Description

      • Provides one-on-one employment assistance to both students and graduates.
      • Answers student and employer questions with regard to the externship, employment, and placement processes.
      • Generate employer database through cold calling, mailing, and site visits.
      • Responsible for weekly placements goals and employment verification.
      • Establishing and maintaining relationships with extern sites to encourage maximum potential for students to be offered employment upon completion of externship.
      • Ensures that the student is prepared to begin the job search process and obtain training related employment by assisting with helping the students in resume writing, interview techniques, phone skills, networking, and other job search processes.
      • Aid students with career preparation concerns throughout their stay at Unitek.
      • Maintains accurate student, graduate and employment records and phone logs.
      • Establish a working relationship with existing and new companies to hire graduates
      • Participate in all program advising committee meetings.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.

      CAREER SERVICES DEPARTMENT SUPPORT

      • Assist in new hire and ongoing training of Career Services staff.
      • Understand and prepare various internal and accreditation reporting and tracking documents helping others gain proficiency in corresponding areas for all placement producing activities.
      • Ability to assist and perform departmental audits for required accreditation and regulatory body documentation and internal activity audits.
      • Versed in all programs with the ability to provide cross-program support for students and graduates.

      Pay Range

      The annual pay range for this position is $32.00 (minimum), $33.50 (midpoint), and $35.00 (maximum).*

      *Typical hiring range is between the minimum and midpoint of the above pay range. Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget.

      Qualifications

      • College degree or trade school is preferred. Will also consider candidates with a combination of education and at least three years’ experience working in a related field: i.e. Career Services, recruiting, sales, marketing, or other comparable role where gained skills would translate well into the Career Services environment.
      • Two years in a Career Services position with an accredited for-profit, vocational education college.
      • Experience with ACCSC and/or ABHES accreditation bodies are a plus.
