JOB SUMMARY
Scope/Responsibilities: Experienced professional in career path; work assignments are broad, vary, and require independent judgment, exercise of discretion, and creativity to complete.
· Individual Uses advanced reasoning skills to analyze, monitor, and manage the various projects and duties requested of the department.
· Utilize broad base knowledge in multiple functional areas including Government claims as well as FHA/VA to solve problems and improve processes.
· Ongoing Procedure and job aide creation, submission and publishing to align with change of law and insurer guideline requirements.
· Serve as a lead in inventory management and reconciliation in Government Loss mitigation claims, FHA liquidation claims and VA liquidation claims
· Be main point of contact for oversight and responses to specific specialized claim for Government insurers
· Proven track record of working/managing multiple processes and reports (internal and external) for executive level presentations
· Addresses barriers and obstacles, implementing solutions to improve on the current/past state.
· Trusted to Independently manage time, priorities, and resources to achieve goals.
· Responsible for highest level of quality and quantity of work completed; recognized for consistently producing the highest quality work.
· Demonstrates Mr. Cooper values to external and internal customers, vendors, agencies, and investors.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Training and oversight of Reconveyances, Native Advantage, Hawaiian Homeland and Government loans as a permanent role
· Financial reconciliation and adherence to Government investor/insurer guidelines to recover advances incurred throughout the loss mitigation and default processes by completing claims for various entities
· Manage pipeline and reporting for each individual entity and assigned responsibilities with emphasis on prioritization and adherence to timelines and ensuring that all claims are filed timely and accurately.
· Expert level knowledge and guidance regarding government insurer adherence to ensure all claims filed comply with appropriate applicable department guidelines for accuracy
· Review, analyze, and respond to internal and external audit inquiries and/or findings including those in the Government Claim space.
· Manage application of all claim funds received, follow-up and tracking of claim submissions for payment, reconciliation of claim payments and analysis of payment data to determine curtailment values and additional recovery opportunities.
· Analysis and root-cause of claim payment curtailments to investors and insurers utilizing guidelines, federal, state and local laws applicable to foreclosure, loss mitigation and bankruptcy servicing requirements
· Reconcile past claims filed to determine possible recoverability, report on identifiable recoverable losses & document steps to assist with loss recovery.
· Integrate specific servicing requirements regarding loss analysis processes.
· Responsible for keeping abreast of relevant changes to investor/insurer guidelines, industry standards, changes of law, and business partner expectations.
· Training and/or mentoring of more junior team members and offshore staff to provide support and coaching
· Serve as back-up, as needed, in the absence of immediate management and respond to senior management inquiries as needed
· Partner with Operations Reporting for reporting updates and logic changes
· Expected to identify, organize, and lead project-based work as needed (as approved by management), including reporting and updates to senior management
· All other duties as assigned, including special projects, as needed.

· Education & Professional Experience:
o Bachelor's degree and typically requires a minimum of 7 years of related professional-level work experience; or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
o Mortgage and Financial Services experience a plus.
o Government Claims, FHA/VA experience needed

o Experienced navigation of VALERI, FHA Catalyst, Neighborhood Watch and Yardi P260
o Demonstrate advanced proficiency in all Microsoft applications and software necessary for job function.
o Capable of problem-solving using technical software or applications.
o Strong emphasis on data analytics
o Experienced and proficient in use of mortgage-specific software.
o Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities:
