What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Drive sales and retention efforts for the Large Group segment of Sentara Health Plans
- Foster relationships and develop strategies with brokers and consultants serving mutual customers
- Communicate and present to senior executives and key decision-makers
- Manage complex negotiations and assist with EAP customer sales or renewals
- Oversee direct reports, including a Client Specialist and a Client Support Specialist
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience, or high school diploma with 11 years of related experience
- Must obtain a Life and Health Insurance License within 90 days of hire
- Proven experience in business acumen, customer relations, and leadership within the health insurance industry
- Experience with Group Insurance for Large Groups (151+ eligible employees) is preferred
- Valid driver's license

- Experience in employee benefits and sales representation in the healthcare sector
- Familiarity with managed care organizations and commercial health plans
