Sr. Cloud Architect w/Azure (Hybrid)

Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Sr. Cloud Architect w(Azure) with 15+ years’ experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. Location: Still water, MN, USA (Hybrid)

Job Responsibilities:

• Define and implement the overall Azure cloud strategy, roadmap, and architecture.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of cloud-native applications and services
• Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of cloud-based systems.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and minimize costs.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services into their applications.
• Stay abreast of the latest cloud technologies and industry best practices.
• Drive architecture review, formulation of enterprise standards and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery planning.
• Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure and processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Deep experience with Azure cloud providers.
• Relevant industry certifications in Azure.
• Experience with serverless computing.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience with No SQL and SQL databases
• Experience with big data and analytics technologies.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, IaC).
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and data management concepts.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash).

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $102,600 - $187,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
