This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.
U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. required and no current or future work authorization sponsorship available .
- Collaborate with leaders across the organization (business and technology) to identify, define, and plan for strategic opportunities, challenges, and initiatives
- Coordinate with Leaders and Planning Teams to ensure streamlined and timely governance of key Commercial strategic initiatives and projects
- Develop and deliver executive-ready presentations to communicate insights from analyses to Executive Leadership and the Board of Directors, and meaningfully contribute to discussions with insights from project experience
- Define projects and programs that make up the portfolios and align PMO resources
- Develop and implement new PM processes, procedures, forms, templates, and tools to be used across business and technology stakeholders
- Coordinate weekly communication and alignment with department planning Teams from each Commercial department; support Commercial organization and execution of annual Company planning exercises
- Drive internal alignment amongst stakeholder groups across the Company, as well as external coordination with partners and third parties who Southwest works with to achieve strategic and financial goals within a market Deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems or situations; navigate easily between big picture thinking and management of relevant detail
- Navigate the complexities of diverse teams and engagements
- Build and maintain a network of relationships across the Company and use this network to help create project solutions
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
- Knowledge of commercial aviation industry, including general commercial aviation economics, key industry financial performance metrics, and the industry competitive landscape in the United States
- Ability to produce results quickly with minimal guidance; self-starter attitude to identify next steps and opportunities
- Ability to learn quickly, go the extra mile, navigate ambiguous problems, and approach work in a flexible way while managing to tight deadlines and competing priorities
- Ability to define, track, prioritize, and monitor multiple key cross functional projects and projects; report key measures and effectiveness to executive leaders and other stakeholders
- Ability to assess cross-departmental business challenges, and create a streamlined approach towards a solution for short and long term needs
- Skilled in communicating and influencing, capable of interacting directly and effectively with senior and executive leadership team
- Ability to design, implement, and support cross functional business process improvements and associated technology solutions
- Ability to understand and apply information to contribute to the organization's strategic plan
- Ability to perform financial analysis and identify key financial performance drivers and key insights from financial statements
- Ability to identify, synthesize, and communicate key Commercial performance metrics and drivers
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Expert level experience, expansive and far-reaching knowledge in:
- Driving complex cross-functional initiatives and aligning stakeholders at all levels
- Developing strategies, plans, and decisions, and communicating them to executive leadership

- Preferred: Experience with PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project Management software
- Six Sigma Green Belt

- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines

Competitive market salary from $ $137,250.00 per year to $ $152,500.00 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
