      Sr. Content Strategist


      We are seeking a key contributor as Senior Content Strategist, who can contribute to a team environment and wants to be part of an evolving organization! This position requires a self-motivated, influential and high performing individual contributor who designs and implements content strategy across programs, systems, product areas, and other end-to-end initiatives

      The role will work with teams across the organization, bringing together teams from across Expedia Group from strategists, creatives, producers, communications planning, brand leads, media, international, product and partners.


      What you'll do:

      • Contributes to the brand style guide and design system

      • Orchestrates a consistent and compelling voice and tone across complex product areas

      • Identifies and resolves issues with accessibility, inclusion, readability, and translation impacts when crafting new content

      • Identifies and uses scalable frameworks (e.g., matrixes and other structured documentation) to solve structural problems with product content

      • Designs content solutions to improve systems, overcome technical constraints, and reduce content debt

      • Coordinates bringing together different stakeholders with varied perspectives to develop solutions to user problems, and contributes own suggestions

      • Thinks holistically to identify opportunities around policies/ processes to increase efficiency across organizational boundaries

      • Demonstrates an advanced understanding of how the technical back- and front-end support content across channels

      • Leverages UI frameworks, modularity, localization, reuse, and related concepts to design content solutions that scale

      • Applies user-centered practices to drive content strategy for their product area

      • Develops own insights about users based on data and insights from research and other sources

      • Communicates user-centric goals and insights when presenting work

      • Encourages team members to remain user-centric

      • Communicates compelling rationale and narratives to team and stakeholders

      • Actively seeks diverse feedback on work and anticipates feedback to address it proactively

      • Tailors communications (content focus, style, format, etc.) for different audiences as appropriate

      • Builds understanding of current business processes, objectives, and challenges to suggest solutions and improvements

      • Uses a combination of data analysis, user research, competitive analysis, gap analyses, benchmarking, and content audits to address global trends and identify high-impact opportunities

      • Uses both qualitative and quantitative insights and business analytics to drive insights and solutions within user-centered design processes

      • Partners across teams to initiate and collect data in support of content tests


      Who are you:

      • At least 5 years related professional experience

      • Experience on User research or UX and Project management and ownership

      • Functional/ Technical Skills:

      • Audits, analyzes, structures, creates and presents content independently using established or self-developed frameworks

      • Focuses increasingly on content problems across systems and product areas

      • Demonstrates strong skills in facilitation and storytelling

      The total cash range for this position in Dallas is $118,000 to $165,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $189,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

      The total cash range for this position in Austin is $128,500 to $180,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $205,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

      The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $128,500.00 to $180,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $205,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

      Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
