- Work closely with the Category Leaders to ensure McKesson’s contracting policies are established with the supplier early in the engagement and there is clarity on non-negotiables
- Provide general contractual / commercial advice and coaching for contract owner, manager and team members working in close alignment with the Shared Service organizations (i.e. Legal, ISRM, Data & Privacy, Risk, Finance, Insurance, etc.)
- Draft contracts as needed by S&P and support contracting efforts, including but not limited to contract administration, red-lining, and execution (post-negotiations efforts) as well as execution of amendments to extend agreements, add resources or funding, execute SOW’s, change orders, and renewals
- Partner closely with Shared Service organizations in executing and finalizing contracts, utilizing McKesson’s contract templates and Terms and Conditions with a goal to reduce contractual risk
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within Contract Management Services
- Minimum of 4-year degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Law
- 4+ years of Supply Chain/Sourcing/Contract Negotiation
- Experience negotiating/managing commercial contracts
- Contract Lifecycle Management/Partnership
- The ability to translate business needs into legal language and identify potential risks, implications and dependencies to create timely and sound legal contracts that protect and advance McKesson’s interests.
- Negotiation
- The ability to explore, persuade and influence positions and alternatives to reach outcomes that will gain acceptance of all parties and meet McKesson’s strategic S&P objectives.
- Customer Relationships Management
- The process of seeking to understand, define and support McKesson’s inter-business activities and fostering a productive relationship between S&P and its business partners.
- Enterprise Orientation / Global Mindset
- The process of making decisions and setting direction by putting the needs of the enterprise first while balancing regional/Business Unit (BU)-specific needs. Responsible for the overall quality of the service, accuracy, and consistency of contracts, as well as shepherding contracts through the final documentation and approval processes. Contracting Specialist will also manage the day-to-day operations of Contract Management and make suggestions to improve the contracting process to drive efficiency.

Our Base Pay Range for this position
