      Job Description

      The Sr. Counsel, Business & Legal Affairs will be responsible for supporting Business and Legal Affairs for various departments within Telemundo, including Operations & Technology and Corporate Affairs.

      Responsibilities include:

      • Negotiate, draft, review, and interpret an extensive range of agreements, including vendor, software as a service, partnership, sponsorship, venue agreements, real estate agreements, warehouse leases, and other operational agreements.
      • Serve as strategic business partner to key business leaders to identify and resolve business and legal issues (including issues relating to contract interpretation).
      • Provide timely and thoughtful legal advice on potential risks and issues.
      • Provide counsel on structure of a variety of transactions business-wide as well as draft related documentation.
      • Provide legal support for business continuity and emergency response for NBCUniversal and Telemundo facilities globally.

      Qualifications

      Basic Requirements:

      • Minimum 7 years of combined business affairs and legal affairs experience with an in-house legal department and/or law firm.
      • J.D. from an accredited US law school with demonstrated academic achievement
      • US bar membership is in good standing.
      • Fully bilingual and able to negotiate legal documents in English and Spanish

      • A confident self-starter with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects, have a take- charge attitude and be a quick study in all things related to our business.
      • Team player, collaborative style, excellent interpersonal skills and able to establish effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
