Job Description:
- Process product orders in a timely and accurate manner for customers.
- Respond to customer inquiries about products and provide necessary information.
- Enter orders and organize shipments for customers.
- Coordinate, process, and fulfill customer orders according to established procedures and service level agreements.
- Confirm orders and shipping dates to customers via email.
- Act as a point of contact for customers, resolving inquiries and complaints.
- Respond to customer inquiries received via email and phone in a professional and courteous manner.
- Process product orders for US domestic and international customers.
- Ensure sales orders are entered accurately and completely into the business system.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation, such as purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Plan and organize shipments with customers and logistics team.
- Create and review international shipment documents.
- Follow up with shipping and customers to ensure products are shipped and received as specified.
- Coordinate with other Thermo Fisher Scientific sites and freight forwarders for timely dispatch and delivery of ordered items.
- Update and maintain customer information in relevant systems.
- Resolve customer queries and complaints while adhering to departmental processes and procedures.
- Liaise with relevant departments for stock availability, customer pricing, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare documentation for customs clearance.
- Work closely with distribution and freight forwarder for packaging and temperature-controlled solutions.
- Use routing system to ensure on-time delivery for all customers.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies and promote awareness among colleagues.
- Carry out additional duties as directed by CS Team Leader and CS Manager.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, order fulfillment, or international environment desired.
- Proven telephone, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Well-organized with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to adhere to a structured schedule and work overtime as required.
- Team player who works well in a team environment.
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Working knowledge and experience of using QAD.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to handle complaints and resolve conflicts.

- Compensation and Benefits: The hourly pay range for this position in California is $20.24–$29.34.
