- Subject Matter Expertise – develop and leverage knowledge of securities, book data, Bloomberg and SQL to support CFO DM & Corporate Treasury data needs
- Relationship Management – build and maintain relationships, including across Treasury, technology, project management, and risk/compliance/audit; work closely as a liaison between developer/software engineering teams and Line of Business users
- Research & Analysis – assist team with data analysis and ensure quality of outputs; interface with Treasury partners on their data needs, requirements for new data requests, track and prioritize changes
- Continuous Improvement – drive consistency of securities and book data for Treasury consumption; continuously refine output of Value Added Process/Transformation to improve accuracy
- Data Controls – ensure process controls, data validations, data quality scripts, and measurement processes remain timely and relevant
- Data Incident Remediation – investigate data quality issues and support remediation plan development, execution, and validation
- Covers 2 main upstream ADSs (Authorized Data Source), PME-Product Master Environment and Bookmap, which provides the bank’s securities reference and book data, and the 5 downstream CFO DM ADSs which consume the securities reference data for various regulatory reporting uses (ATLAS, CFARRI, CIDW, SABER, GRIFFIN). Maintain data accuracy and integrity across multiple database

- 5+ years of data management/analysis, database, and/or securities product expertise within the financial industry

- Ability to understand waterfall dataflows/logic, set theory, and other related dataflows helpful

- Bank of America and Corporate Treasury or Middle Office experience
- Familiarity with securities & book data and Bank of America platforms (PME, Bookmap)
- Exposure to data & project management (including Agile methodology, JIRA)
- Bachelor's in Accounting /Finance/Business or related fields or equivalent work experience

This job is responsible for ensuring operational data is fit for purpose, defining controls, and monitoring processes are in adherence to enterprise data management standards. Key responsibilities include triaging and remediating data incidents, performing data analysis, training new users, and performing impact analysis stemming from data updates. Job expectations include helping in defining access and ownership of data by domain, conducting quality control, and overseeing data maintenance.Team Specific Job Description:
This is a Senior Data Analyst role on the Securities Reference Data Team – a horizontal function within CFO Data Management that partners with Banking, Trading, and Treasury Product Teams to support data needs of Corporate Treasury (Treasury).
The Securities Reference Data Team provides subject matter expertise on information that is joined to product transactional data, such as customer / counterparty, product attributes, and ledger data. The team acts as a bridge between technical data teams and Treasury business functions to expand and improve reporting, forecasting, and analytics. This role is responsible for securities and book reference data namely various Security IDs such as ISIN and CUSIP, Security Descriptions, Security Classifications such as High Quality Liquid Assets and Collateral Class, Issuer/Guarantor data, Coupon Rates, Country info, Index/Exchange Listing info, Issue date/Maturity date, etc. Works under minimal supervision on enterprise-wide projects requiring creative data solutions.
