Under limited supervision, this position plans and executes digital product strategy, technology/product development, technology/product support and/or customer engagement strategies in support of the company’s product and service portfolio. Conducts market and competitive analysis, product analysis, digital industry and customer research to create and optimize the customer experience. Partner with cross-functional teams to define, implement and launch market-leading, customer-centric products or programs. Provides subject matter expertise to support strategic priorities. Maintains expertise on products and technologies through training and research and uses that training to drive and/or implement best practices and foster continuous improvement. Specific Job Responsibilities: This position is part of an automation product marketing organization responsible for creating and managing technology products across fedex.com, mobile and integrated channels. In support of the Visibility portfolio, this person will work closely with our customers, FedEx operating companies, Regional team members, IT, Marketing, Sales and Support teams as the product subject matter expert to build and launch tracking experiences that are market leading and meet business objectives. Under limited supervision, the successful candidate will plan and execute product development, provide product support, promotional initiatives and assist in program management planning. In addition, they will work closely with our development teams to ensure the plans are delivered on-time and the product vision met. The successful candidate must have demonstrated success in: Product and Business Requirements Definition: Ability to translate customer needs and/or market trends into a prioritized product feature set. Defining and prioritizing product features needed to guide product development efforts. Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand technical capabilities and comfortably dialogue with technical experts to determine how to best meet customer needs. Business Savvy: Ability to navigate opportunities and challenges to maintain project progress and accomplish project goals while working through others. Strategic Thinking/Innovation: Ability to develop and champion unbiased recommendations to key business stakeholders across the Corporation. Collaboration: Ability to work across operating companies, marketing, design, research, brand, legal, content and IT in order to promote and get support to implement the product strategies. Demonstrated ability to build and to maintain strong relationships with cross functional stakeholders including executive management Project Management: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously, in order to ensure product features are launched on time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Partner with key groups to conduct industry, competitive, user experience research needed to build an actionable product strategy and roadmap. Use data and metrics to support the product feature justification. Measure the success of the features post launch through dashboards, data and other analytics as needed. Translate customer needs into product features feeding into the 3 PI product backlog. Prioritize the product roadmap based on business value and customer impact. Build the fact based and data driven business justification needed to justify product investments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in design, brand, legal, content and IT to successfully launch a product feature from ideation to implementation. Provide Subject Matter Expertise on key corporate initiatives as needed. Provide product support for internal stakeholders on their products and features. Communication on product and features to wider audience including senior management. Conduct experiments on digital product features. Engage with customers regularly to gather feedback, understand pain points, and validate product features. Define and monitor key product metrics and performance indicators. Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure effective product launches and go-to-market strategies. Develop clear and compelling product positioning and messaging. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Considered a Plus: Software and/or Web product management or marketing experience Digital User Design and/or Design Thinking experience Knowledge of dotcom, mobile and other such digital platforms Knowledge of Agile-SAFE development methodologies Excellent written and verbal presentation skills Demonstrated ability to build and to maintain strong relationships with cross functional stakeholders including executive management Excellent collaboration and problem-solving abilities in a team-oriented environment Demonstrated analytical skills with specific ability to translate metrics into a solid business case SQL knowledge to conduct the required analysis of the team/customer/segment needs. Experience in leading the development of digital solutions from strategy through to execution Work Location: Position will be hybrid in Collierville, TN and candidates must live within a reasonable commutable distance. This position is hybrid, meaning that employees must be onsite as directed by leadership but allows team members flexibility to work from home otherwise. Relocation: Relocation assistance may be available based upon business needs. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, finance, computer science, engineering or related business discipline. Three (3) years experience in a digital marketing or digital product management environment or demonstrated knowledge gained through coursework or work experience in digital product management, and technology support. Strong ability to understand business and customer needs, customer and/or user experience management, product analysis and technology capabilities. Technical acumen. Strong collaboration, communications and analytical skills. Directly related experience may offset degree requirements. Directly related advanced degrees may offset experience requirements.
