      Here's a summary of responsibilities:

      The USOPC seeks a visionary leader to oversee the Colorado Springs Olympic & Paralympic Training Center (CSOPTC) and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to develop and execute an innovative strategic plan.

      Located in Colorado Springs, the Senior Director (Sr. Director) of the CSOPTC will serve as the sports facility/operations general manager and will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to the CSOPTC facility and creating a long-term vision to foster a holistic, positive, customer-focused high-performance environment and community for athletes, coaches, staff, and guests. The Sr. Director will oversee a dynamic, cross-functional team at the CSOPTC to lead the strategic development and tactical execution of operational initiatives to ensure the CSOPTC provides a safe, accessible, world-class training and living experience for Team USA athletes. The Sr. Director will collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to evolve the CSOPTC into a high-performance center of innovation for sport science, medicine, dietetics, mental health, recovery, operational excellence, technology, and exceptional customer service. The Sr. Director will also help develop and implement a new approach for the USOPC's official training sites.

      Here's how you'll have an impact:

      • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the CSOPTC in alignment with the USOPC's goals and objectives. Partner with key CSOPTC stakeholders, including athletes, National Governing Bodies (NGBs), USOPC staff, and others, to evaluate and improve upon the operating model of the CSOPTC.
      • Provide strategic leadership and management to the CSOPTC and oversee the service functions of the CSOPTC to include sport venues, food service, transportation, vehicle services, operations, athlete life & programs, and the visitor center. Set high standards of excellence and customer service throughout the CSOPTC and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement.
      • Define and lead a culture of customer service, guest experience, and athlete-first mindset throughout the CSOPTC. Partner with the Director of the LakePlacid Olympic & Paralympic Training Center (LPOPTC) to ensure consistent service strategies are in place at both high-performance training facilities.
      • Build and maintain an inclusive, service-oriented community with the various departments and stakeholders who utilize the CSOPTC. Partner closely with Olympic and Paralympic Sport, Sports Medicine, NGB Services, Athlete Services, International Relations, Facility Management, Risk Management, Legal, and Security to ensure that their needs are met while balancing the needs of the athletes and NGBs who live and train at the CSOPTC.
      • Partner with the USOPC Olympic and Paralympic Performance Teams and associated National Governing Bodies (NGBs) to lead sport allocations and strategically utilize the CSOPTC facility for training and competition needs.
      • Cultivate relationships with the local Colorado Springs community, NGBs, member clients, guests, and colleagues. Develop rapport and communicate CSOPTC programming to constituents in these environments. Maintain a consistent pulse with athletes, NGBs, and staff to ensure expectations and needs are met by CSOPTC programming and services.
      • Develop and oversee the operating budget for the CSOPTC. Partner with CSOPTC team leaders to monitor the financial performance of all CSOPTC functions, ensure budget compliance, and maintain operations within approved budget guidelines. Liaise with the USOPC Finance team to ensure budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting are completed accurately and on time.
      • Partner with Facilities Management in capital improvements and deferred maintenance on any necessary renovations to enhance the overall user experience at the CSOPTC and collaborate on the Furniture, Fixtures, & Equipment budget for the CSOPTC facility.
      • Collaborate with USOPC Ethics & Compliance, Legal, Security, and Athlete Safety teams to develop, manage, and monitor CSOPTC policies and procedures in adherence to the OPTC code of conduct. Partner with CSOPTC team leaders to ensure all athletes and programs comply with CSOPTC policies. Oversee follow-up and closure of any infractions with NGB staff as appropriate. Stay informed about relevant safety regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices and incorporate into CSOPTC procedures as necessary.
      • Promote a healthy and safe living environment for all athletes in partnership with CSOPTC team leaders, Athlete Safety team, and Sports Medicine team. Oversee all SafeSport initiatives and activities at the CSOPTC and ensure compliance across all CSOPTC functions.
      • Strategically anticipate and act upon the operational needs of the CSOPTC, including programming and services provided to athletes, NGBs, guests, and the community. Collaborate with CSOPTC team leads to bringing initiatives to life to enhance the CSOPTC experience for stakeholders.
      • Provide direct supervision to CSOPTC team leaders, including hiring, mentoring, coaching, and motivating to maximize collective performance. Empower CSOPTC team leaders to foster a culture of passion, teamwork, support, innovation, diversity, and communication on their own teams.
      • Contribute to an atmosphere for outstanding teamwork through clear expectations, frequent communication, and providing fair and consistent feedback. Manage performance of team members effectively.
      • Serve as a key member of the Training Centers & Sites leadership team. Contribute to the overall strategy, including short-term and long-term goals, to enhance the athlete and guest experiences at all USOPC-owned and/or partner high-performance facilities.

      Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:

      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
      • 10+ years of sports business administration or sports-related experience, preferably in high-performance
      • Experience and comfort working with people across reporting structures
      • Experience interacting with athletes in a variety of formal and informal settings
      • Demonstrated experience leading a cross-functional, multidisciplinary team
      • Advanced knowledge of sports industry trends, facility technology, and emerging best practices in sport facility management from around the world
      • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
      • Demonstrated cross-functional team collaboration with the ability to earn the confidence and support of a wide range of internal and external constituents
      • Ability to provide both strategic direction and tactical day-to-day management
      • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere with limited direction
      • Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and direct the activities of large teams in dynamic, complex environments
      • Proven ability to oversee large operational budgets and ensure funds are used efficiently and effectively

      Here are some things that will make you super competitive for this role

      • Master's degree preferred
      • 5+ years of experience managing a training facility or working with/for an NGB and/or the USOPC preferred

      Here's some more information you need to know:

      • Hiring Pay Range: $136,805 - $173,742 per year.
      • This full-time, exempt position is intended to work 40 hours per week.
      • Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program at a 20% target. This program is subject to change or elimination by the USOPC at any time at its sole discretion.
