Job Description
- Req#: 32439608911
- Requires a bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field, with 12 years of relevant experience, including 6 years in management.
- Requires director-level expertise in two or more of the following health insurance actuarial functions: reserving, healthcare cost trend analysis, pricing, population risk scores, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Requires ASA designation; a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or an equivalent professional designation is preferred.
- Must meet or be eligible to meet US Qualification Standards for signing an NAIC Statement of Actuarial Opinion, upon completing applicable continuing education requirements.
- Requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in actuarial modeling and data analysis tools.
- Requires excellent leadership and team collaboration abilities.
- Must be able to work effectively in a cross-functional, dynamic environment and demonstrate drive for action.
Your Role
The Corporate Actuarial team is responsible for the Health Plan's Incurred but Not Reported (IBNR) valuations, trend setting, and other actuarial projections. The Senior Director, Actuary, Corporate Actuarial, will report to the Chief Actuary. This position involves responsibility and accountability for actuarial functions related to reserving, trend setting, risk score forecasting, and ad-hoc analysis on healthcare cost initiatives.
