      Position Description

      ADP is hiring a Principal/Sr. Director, ADP Ventures

      The Principal will be a key leader of ADP Ventures investment division, and will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and investing in technology startups as well as supporting portfolio companies. The Principal will work closely with ADP executives to sharpen our investment focus and strengthen our portfolio, while developing external relationships with startup founders and venture investors.

      Responsibilities:

      • Develop a deep understanding of, and be immersed in, HCM Technology, startup ecosystems, building subject matter expertise and credibility, track emerging market trends and technologies, and develop theses within our investment focus areas.
      • Source relevant investment opportunities by leveraging your professional network, attending relevant conferences, networking events, and proactively engaging with entrepreneurs.
      • Identify VC and founder communities to help populate our deal pipeline with strong prospects and monitor the progress of startups on an ongoing basis.
      • Refine and develop our investment strategy, internal processes, products, and
      • Research and evaluate each opportunity as a potential investment, including interviewing subject matter experts across ADP, startup teams, and
      • Prepare, distribute, and develop due diligence materials that include deep analysis on market landscape, competitive landscape, product ecosystem and investment structure for relevant investment
      • Negotiate and close deals with founders.
      • Provide best-in-class support to portfolio companies, with an emphasis on strategy, business development including partnership integrations with ADP, and fundraising.
      • Represent and build the ADP Ventures brand as a CVC that actively partners with startups to accelerate their growth.

      Qualifications Required:

      • 7+ years of investing related experience in venture capital, investments or HCM Technology; tenure in management consulting and investment banking is a bonus.
      • MBA and/or advanced Degree preferred.
      • Deep understanding of the startup and investment ecosystem, ideally within HR Tech and adjacencies.
      • Strong network and networker with the ability to build strong and lasting relationships.
      • Strong self-starter, with a commitment to learning.
      • Experience in a fast-paced environment (i.e., top-tier consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital and successful growth startup).
      • Comfortable performing analytical exercises such as market sizing, financial analysis, retention analysis, LTV/CAC computations, and returns analysis.
      • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence leadership.
      • Track-record of managing multiple, complex projects at the same time.

      For New York City, salary range for this role is listed in the compensation section below. Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions.

      Base Compensation Range for this role is $119,900 - $321,390
