      This position is within McKesson’s Regulatory Affairs department responsible for its Controlled Substances Monitoring Program (CSMP). This position will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating several functions related to McKesson’s governance and ongoing compliance with its CSMP policies and procedures and obligations under the injunctive relief provisions of a comprehensive settlement agreement of nationwide opioid litigation regarding McKesson’s CSMP. This position will also be responsible for serving as a principal contact in McKesson’s engagement with a third-party monitor appointed in connection with the comprehensive settlement agreement.

      This position will report to the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for Compliance, Governance, and Strategic Accounts and will be expected to work cross-functionally with various McKesson departments.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Managing multiple functions regarding adherence to CSMP policies and procedures and the Injunctive Relief terms of the Company’s 2022 comprehensive opioid litigation settlement

      • Acting as a principal contact with an external monitor for a period required by the Injunctive Relief terms, including overseeing the preparation of required materials and managing multiple elements of the monitor review cycle

      • Supporting the Vice President in internal and external reporting obligations and matters involving compliance with controlled substances regulatory requirements

      • Preparing executive-ready presentation materials, including memorandums, presentations, and reports

      • Staying current with state laws and regulations applicable to distributors and pharmacies regarding controlled substances

      • Managing supporting team members

      • Other responsibilities as assigned

      Minimum Requirement 13+ years of professional experience and 6+ years of diversified leadership.

      Critical Skills

      • 12+ years of prior experience with increasing responsibility in a regulatory, legal, or compliance setting in a healthcare environment.

      • Extensive experience with writing reports and documentation with an understanding of regulatory and legal issues.

      • Understanding of regulatory and compliance governance requirements, including those arising from settlement agreements, relating to governance committees, and the Board of Directors.

      • Understanding of relevant state and federal regulatory framework for controlled substances distribution and dispensing.

      • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

      • 6+ years of prior experience in managing, motivating, leading teams.

      Education

      • 4 year degree.

      • Advanced degree preferred.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

      Our Base Pay Range for this position

      $153,900 - $256,500
