Drive the planning and execution of Cyber Security Program portfolio; accountable for the delivery of all Program KPIs
Own and ensure adoption of core program management lifecycle processes and stage gate discipline (agile & waterfall) across all Cyber Security programs and projects appropriately
Hands-on delivery/leadership of the most critical programs; parachute in to help define a critical path, dive into details, dependency analysis and identification, and resource plans; help escalate issues and propose creative solutions
Seeks to improve the consistency, predictability and efficiency of the organization’s program/project delivery capability
Lead the monthly program review to ensure portfolio is well understood, on track, and actioned for success
Own executive status updates, report outs on key delivery metrics and dates
Manage portfolio of program risks and mitigation plans
Ensure programs are delivered on time and on budget, flags when prioritization discussion is required
Build effective, highly collaborative relationships across business, technology and cybersecurity team to ensure all integrated projects and governance checks and balances are in place
Recruit program advocates across the organization (internal and external to Cyber Security) to ensure successful implementation and adoption of technology solutions
Integrate and align with all peer organizations
Manage, mentor and lead a team of project/program managers
Strong sense of commitment, urgency, and sound business sense
Careful listener with the confidence to make crisp and tough decisions about difficult issues; natural propensity to make others feel like their view points and perspectives are adequately considered
Juggle multiple high intensity projects at the same time and react with urgency when necessary
The candidate will preferably hold a project management or agile certification, such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe SPC, SAPM, or Lean Six Sigma4
Experience with enterprise level programs that use both traditional and agile frameworks, and the ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities
Knowledge of threat driven methodologies such as Mitre Att&ck, Cyber Kill Chain, and other relevant frameworks and tools for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cyber threats
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams and stakeholders across the organization
Experience in developing and managing budgets, schedules, resources, and risks for cybersecurity programs
Experience in interacting with cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Experience in working with external partners, vendors, and auditors on cybersecurity related matters
High energy level and flexibility to meet a variety of demands while producing superior work products under short deadlines
Proactive, highly detailed, and organized, a stickler for the details
Ability to put “end user hat on;” empathize, anticipate and solve for pain points
Persuasive written and verbal communication
Financial acumen
Works well under pressure
Strong sense of ownership
Leadership experience in building an impactful PMO
End-to-end project/program implementation experience, Change Management experience
Demonstrated teamwork capabilities
Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior management, stakeholders, and team members
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
7+ years of experience in technical program management, with 3+ years of experience directly managing cybersecurity programs

Lilly currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from between $148,500 to $217,800 and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s qualifications for the role, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored 401(k); pension; vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities). Of course, the compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above. We are looking for a Senior Director of Cybersecurity Programs who can lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex and strategic cybersecurity initiatives across the Lilly organization. The Senior Director of Cybersecurity Programs will be responsible for managing a team of cybersecurity program managers, ensuring alignment with the organization’s security vision, strategy, and goals, and reporting on the progress and outcomes of cybersecurity programs to senior leadership and stakeholders. This leader will also be a key contributor to the strategy for our cybersecurity team and enable the transformative elements key to mission success.
