      Ensures the Refinery complies with the Environmental Protection Agency’s rules and regulations.

      • Conducts upset reporting calculations and submits excess emissions reports to applicable state and federal Regulatory Agencies.
      • Ensures all stack testing and CEMS certifications are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations.
      • Prepares and submits air permit applications to Regulatory Agencies.
      • Ensures Refinery compliance with the National Emissions Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants, Air Quality Standards established by Environmental Protection Agency, and guidelines established by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
      • Completes daily compliance reviews of required environmental recordkeeping data.
      • Conducts routine refinery inspections to ensure environmental compliance.
      • Completes reports for state and federal Regulatory Agencies, and maintains the appropriate documentation.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.

      This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

      • Bachelor’s or higher level degree - in Engineering or a related Science required.
      • 5 years of Environmental Engineering or related refinery engineering experience required.
      • Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Texas City Refinery, required.
      • Master’s or higher level degree - in Engineering preferred.

      All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).       Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
