What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Utilize a wide range of design and planning software programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Chief Architect, Sketchup, and SolidWorks
- Understand and adhere to local building codes, regulations, and laws related to EWP (Engineered Wood Products)
- Collaborate directly with customers to execute projects
- Communicate and educate colleagues on EWP projects
- Create material lists and perform plan takeoffs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Relevant degree (associates or bachelor's) preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design plans
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Chief Architect, Sketchup, or SolidWorks preferred
- Familiarity with the International Residential Code book span charts
- At least one year of experience as an EWP designer
- General computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP system knowledge preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 0-2 years of experience as an EWP designer or in a related field
