Amazon's External Fulfillment (EF) organization is seeking a dynamic Sr. Operations Manager to lead one of our fulfillment programs that enable Amazon to deliver exceptional customer beyond our fulfillment centers. EF is a supply chain strategy that extends Amazon's fulfillment capabilities by partnering with sellers and vendors to ship products directly from their facilities while maintaining Amazon's high performance standards.
As a Sr. External Fulfillment Operations Manager, you will lead the end-to-end strategy and operations for one of our key programs (Vendor Flex, Seller Flex, or Easy Ship) in Mexico. This role combines strategic leadership with operations management, driving program performance while managing a team of operations specialists. You'll be responsible for developing and executing innovative solutions that enhance speed, quality, and cost efficiency while maintaining Amazon's world-class customer experience.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of operations specialists, implementing and tracking performance metrics and development programs
- Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of one External Fulfillment program, ensuring alignment with Amazon's operational excellence standards
- Drive extensive collaboration with sellers or vendors, product teams, and transportation partners to identify and resolve operational challenges
- Establish and optimize processes to improve customer and seller support, workforce and minimize costs while maximizing customer experience
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on speed, quality, and cost optimization
- Manage stakeholder relationships across multiple functions, including business teams, supply chain, and transportation
- Drive data-driven decision making through analytics and performance metrics
- Develop strategic roadmaps and metrics to measure program progress, providing regular updates to leadership through various forums (WBR, QBR)

As a Sr. External Fulfillment Operations Manager, you'll lead a dynamic team that's revolutionizing how Amazon delivers products to customers. You'll start your day reviewing program performance metrics and conducting team meetings to align on priorities. You'll collaborate with external partners to optimize their operations, lead strategic planning sessions with cross-functional stakeholders, and work with your team to implement process improvements. Whether you're analyzing data to identify opportunities, making strategic decisions, or presenting recommendations to senior leadership, you'll be at the forefront of innovation in e-commerce fulfillment.- Bachelor's degree required
- 6+ years of general experience
- 4+ years of people management experience
- 4+ years of program management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive business decisions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (C1+)
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, projects and stakeholder relationships- Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in e-commerce, retail operations, or supply chain
- Strong track record of implementing process improvements
- Experience working with sellers or vendors
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives
- Experience with data visualization tools and reporting
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
