- Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to solve complex real-world challenges with simple, usable analytics and reporting.
- Function as the SME for the finance and accounting team for data querying and analytics.
- Assist Finance and accounting in building standard reports via SSRS and/or Tableau, in coordination with the BI and product team
- Assist GreenSky’s Finance Department with requests relating to historical and prospective capital markets efforts, portfolio composition and other relevant data characteristics in support of internal and third-party transactions.
- Building meaningful reports and analysis on the Company’s unit economics
- Improve existing processes (or develop new approaches) for data integrity assessments and performance monitoring for Treasury and Accounting activities.
- Maintain and create insightful Tableau dashboards for tracking KPI’s.
- Communicate effectively with executives and senior management, including GreenSky colleagues in Credit Risk, Capital Markets, Risk Management, Legal & Compliance, Treasury and Product Management, among others.
- Create executive-level and detailed reporting metrics on a recurring and ad hoc basis.
- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years financial analysis and data management experience.
- Demonstrated capabilities in working, navigating, and managing large data sets using SQL, Excel macros, in a Snowflake or SQL based environment. Preference given to candidates with experience in VBA, Python or R,
- Strong analytical skills with knowledge of data analysis techniques to define, calculate, and socialize the implications of initiatives on company financial performance.
- Knowledge and familiarity of visualization and reporting tools, preference given to Tableau and SSRS experience.
- Strong problem-solving, intellectual curiosity, and decision-making skills.
- Detail oriented and highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic setting.
- Clear and concise communicator with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills: Utilize those skills to effectively translate complex analytics, data and financial impacts to senior management.
- Demonstrated ability to apply analytics to substantiate a business case or validate a hypothesis.
- Ability to rapidly respond to ad-hoc pointed data needs in a thorough and accurate manner.
- An inquisitive mindset to quickly connect the dots between business activities, potential products/features, and underpinning data.

Organizational: This position is a member of the Finance Transformation team, reporting to the VP of Finance Strategy and Transformation
Overview: The Finance Strategy and Transformation team provides support to all functions that report to the CFO, including Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Merchant Billing and Accounts Payable by helping focus on implementing and improving financial processes and systems. We aim to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and drive innovation across the financial organization. In addition, we provide support for analyzing new business strategies and implementing into our operations.
The Finance Data Analytics Associate will need a strong inquisitive nature to learn and understand how process, product and strategies translate to financial information. The Analyst will use this knowledge of Business and Products to model and forecast implication from enhancements or new strategic initiatives Given this focus on supporting Finance via analytics, the Finance Data Analytics Associate must employ technical skills to source and convey information in a SQL heavy environment consisting of platforms that include Snowflake, Salesforce, SSRS, and Tableau.
The role’s responsibilities include Building reports and dashboards to support finance and accounting and developing ad hoc analytics. This position will also be instrumental in the development, integration and automation of initiatives across the various functions of finance and accounting and will work closely with the Product and BI teams. The analyst will be critical to representing the needs of Finance, support execution of select initiatives, and substantiating investments to improve processes.
