- Lead compilation, distribution, and communication of required reporting and analysis of business results, performance trends, and areas of improvement
- Own models, forecast processes, and development of business cases focused on maximizing financial efficiency and returns, especially related to financial forecasting and planning
- Facilitate communication between key business partners and the FP&A team thru consistent communication & partnership
- Ad-hoc requests, what-if analyses, and other duties as assigned.
- Development of ‘next-level’ skills including project management, data analytics, coaching, and team leadership
- Querying relational databases with SAS, SQL, or a similar language
- Data modeling
- Use of Tableau (or similar visualization tool) for analytics, reporting, & communication

The Financial Planning & Analysis team is responsible for all financial forecasting and planning for Purpose Financial and its family of brands. We work in a demanding environment; the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines is required. The successful candidate will be initiative-taking and thrive in a team-focused, highly communicative environment. This position will support our business partners across the organization by identifying bottom-line profitability opportunities thru data-driven analysis, development & continuous improvement of KPI-based financial models, and representation of the finance perspective on cross-functional project teams. Additional responsibilities are likely to include ownership of components of the Annual Plan, Reforecast, & Long-Term Planning processes.

As a senior member of the team this individual is expected to provide coaching and mentorship to junior teammates and be relied upon to communicate effectively with Operational and Senior Management including, but not limited to, presentation development, leading meetings, as well as other verbal/written interactions.

Education Required
Minimum BS Degree in Finance, Economics, or similar. Relevant master’s degrees and MBA preferred.
Experience Required
3+ years of related experience and strong initiative in a team-focused environment. Applicants with the less experience but the right attitude and knowledge base will be considered.
Knowledge Required
Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.
Must have and will frequently employ knowledge of accounting practices, financial systems, and expert-level Excel. (Our team routinely uses Excel, Tableau, SAS/SQL, and SAP). Ability to develop and foster mutually beneficial business relationships with a customer-service focus. Advanced critical thinking, problem solving, and sound judgement to escalate issues to manager.
