Position Summary Join the Orlando Health Foundation, where your passion for philanthropy meets our commitment to advancing healthcare in Central Florida. As an integral part of our team, you'll contribute to a long-standing legacy dedicated to partnering with compassionate individuals, foundations, and organizations to raise crucial funds for Orlando Health. The Foundation Sr. Development Associate will support the various development areas of the Foundation and will be involved in cultivation events, fundraising solicitations, and donor stewardship. Responsibilities Essential Functions • Required to carry a portfolio with the size determined and reviewed annually by the supervisor. A portfolio consists of prospects, donors, event interactions, donor visits, dollars requested and dollars received, campaign and service line development, and stewardship efforts. • Manages multiple ongoing areas of responsibility for the benefit of the Orlando Health Foundation. Responsible for managing timelines and strategic planning for assigned events and initiatives. • Works to develop strong relationship with team members, vendors, community leaders, event sponsors/participants, volunteers and donors. • Leadsinternal and external special projects as needed and requested. • Responsible for leading and keeping others accountable in the donor stewardship process of recent gift donors. • Works on donor proposals and participates in donor recognitions efforts. • Assist with the development of stewardship plans for major donors and corporate, private and family foundations. • Generates lists for solicitation appeals, invitation for events and donor stewardship mailings. • Leads tours at the hospitals. • Collaborates with senior development leadership on major gift proposals and capital campaigns. • Seeks new prospects through collaboration with the database manager. • Executes customized donor experience and stewardship activities. • Attends Foundation functions or represents the Foundation at outside events. • Maintains regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions • Requiresflexibility to provide development support and/or special event execution on weekends and after hours. • Has access to confidential data that allows for coordinating and organizing assigned responsibilities. • Participates actively to assure compliance in assigned areas of responsibilities. • Assist in the creation of content for Foundation communications. • Manages projects and adheres to deadlines, as needed. Qualifications Education/Training Bachelor’s degree required. Licensure/Certification Begin working towards a fundraising certificate. Experience Two (2) to three (3) years of not-for-profit or related experience recommended.
