The AWS Website team(AWT) is looking for a Content Expert to play a vital role in building our content supply chain. They will serve as the “Librarian” developing the vision for content management to help create a searchable, organized content repository and relevant workflows that align with marketing needs across the system and across the content asset life cycle. They will help orchestrate content delivery to help content authors identify opportunities to rewrite, repurpose and create new content for compelling storytelling that improves customer journeys. Working hand in hand with information and content architects, they will manage content audits and analysis to find gaps in the content experience and recommend the structured content needed to fill those gaps. They will inform requirements to ensure our content platforms develop guardrails and enhancements needed to create a content supply chain with reusable content assets that allow AWS to consistently produce high quality web content. They will be experienced with taxonomy, indexing, cataloging, archiving, metadata tagging, schemas and content management systems.
Key job responsibilities
End-to-end understanding of the content supply chain to optimize planning, producing, measuring, reporting and reusing content
Manage asset ingestion and organization of content assets, creating naming conventions, collections and storage for both published and unpublished content assets ensuring efficient maintenance of the assets
Engage with stakeholders, content & information architects to guide taxonomy, metadata, and overall DAM strategy
Experience conducting audits, appraisals and inventory of existing content
Can create or comfortably navigate site maps, schemas, taxonomy and content models
Can develop a strategy for curating and repurposing existing content to help marketers maximize reach and impact to improve customer engagement
Proficient in using content management systems
Has a clear understanding of contextual design and structured storytelling in a way that allows for customer engagement and increased content reuse and categorization
Strong analytics skills to measure content performance, set benchmarks and derive insights for continuous improvement and generate asset reports
Monitor and audit assets to adhere to established governance and ensure process standards are followed for assets.
Stay current on language translation frameworks
Proven experience in Library Science, Information & Content Architecture or similar role is a plus

- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience in marketing or marketing research
- • Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences- Experience creating and executing integrated marketing lead generation campaigns using tactics that include live or virtual events, webinars, email, lead nurture programs, and CRM/sales insights
- Experience with Salesforce and Tableau

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $112,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $186,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
